STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between family interaction, college students' personality, and their coping strategies.

STATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Data about college students’ family interaction, personality, and coping strategies were collected using structured questionnaires. SPSS 16 version will be used to analyze the relationships of variables.

ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITS

There is no risk for the participants. They will take about 10 minutes to fill out the questionnaires. After they turn in the questionnaire, they will get a pack of chocolate to express the thanks.

SUBJECT SELECTION

The college students will be recruited from School of Nursing (Dr. Pi-Ming Yeh NUR 435 course) and School of Business (Dr. Cheng-Huei Chiao class). There are about 200 participants in this study.

CONFIDENTIALITY

This project is completely anonymous, and in no way linked to an individual. The questionnaires will be kept in a locked drawer at Pi-Ming Yeh's office. There is no information to identify the participants.
