Family groups sometimes take place on Thursday nights during and/or after the main study.  These groups are usually led by a pair (usually one guy and one girl) of student leaders and have the general purpose of building relationships and giving opportunity to look more intently into the Word of God to gain understanding and application.  When meeting directly after the main Bible study on Thursday, for example, individuals have opportunity to discuss any questions or thoughts about that evenings study in a more intimate setting.  This setting also lends itself toward developing close relationships where individuals can share more personal struggles, thoughts, doubts, etc.  and find support, encouragement and prayer.
