Discipleship

In Matthew, Jesus calls us to "go into all the world and make disciples."  Many people have varying opinions about what it means to "make disciples" and exactly how to go about doing it.  The ministry of what we term "discipleship" is one attempt we make at accomplishing this command. This ministry usually takes the form of a group of 2 ("one-on-ones") or 3 persons who sit down together regularly to look at scripture and try to apply it to their lives.  One of the persons involved might be in a place of greater maturity, spiritually speaking, and able to help the other search through and understand scripture and how it applies to our lives.  Some of the groups take the form of "accountability groups" where the individuals can openly share their struggles with one another and find encouragement, direction, and prayer.  "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." All students are encouraged to be involved in some sort of discipleship, and we would be overjoyed to help you find someone to join with in this way.
