WESTERN WRITERS TO HOLD OPEN MIC AT WHISKEY MANSION
St. Joseph, Mo. - Nov. 4, 2010 - Creative writers at Missouri Western State University invite the public to an open mic session called ''New Lit Out Loud.'' The event is free and open to the public. It begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Whiskey Mansion Bed and Breakfast, 1723 Francis St.
''New Lit Out Loud'' is an open mic reading of fiction, poetry and spoken word by Western students, alumni and area writers. They will share new works which include short stories, poetry, excerpts from longer works and anything else they have to offer.
