Susan Carter, DMA, soprano, has performed internationally with companies including the Dallas Opera, Liederkranz Society of New York, Berkshire Opera, Rochester Opera, Syracuse Opera, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Dallas Symphony and Denver Symphony, in leading operatic roles including “Lucia”, “Queen of the Night”, “Constanza”, “Donna Anna”, “Vitellia”, “Leonora” (Il trovatore),”, and “Lauretta”. Oratorio includes soprano soloist in Mozart’s Coronation Mass at Carnegie Hall, the Southwest premier of Webber’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Dallas Ballet and numerous performances of Messiah. Dr. Carter is certified as a Kundalini Yoga Instructor and is the co founder of The Well-Tempered Body, an organization providing workshops and master classes nationally on body awareness for performers. She currently serves as associate professor of voice and director of vocal studies at Missouri Western State University. |
