2012 Missouri and National at-Large Online Scoring Session
We need 24 educators to score middle school and high school writing contest entries on Saturday, January 22, 2012, at Missouri Western State University, from 9 AM to 4 PM. We will begin in Eder 210 with a norming session, reading and rating entries together to establish Anchor Papers for the day. Then, we will disperse to computer labs (or use laptops) to read and rate pieces online. We will regroup over lunch and again in mid-afternoon to assess our progress. Raters will receive lunch, a professional development certificate, and a modest honorarium.
To apply, complete the information below. If more than 24 people sign up to score, we will give preference to teachers whose students submit writing contest entries for this year's contest. We will let all applicants know by January 6, 2012, whether we wil be able to use them January 22nd as scorers.
