Conference Chair: Megan Caley

My name is Megan Caley and I am the Conference Chair for Heartland 2009. I am so excited that Heartland is finally going to make it to Missouri Western State University! It is a project that has been in the works for over 2 years now. I am a senior accounting major here at western. I am no longer an RA due to scheduling conflicts but I do have two years RA experience in two different student living environments. I enjoy meeting new people and learning things from them. I hope that everyone is excited for this years 80's themed conference and I hope that we can all take something positive from this experience.

Public Relations Co-Chair: Robby Malone

Hi there, everyone. My name is Robby Malone and I am excited to introduce myself as the Public Relations Co-Chair. I graduated from Hickman Mills in Kansas City, Missouri. I am a Resident Assistant in Scanlon Hall. My hobbies are video games, ping-pong, Facebook, and making people laugh. I also like to discuss a wide variety of issues. I look forward to meeting everyone at this year's Heartland conference.

Public Relations Co-Chair and Programming Chair: Lindsey Jackson

I am a junior and Missouri Western State University and this my second year semester as an RA. I am excited to be a part of the Programming section of the Heartland Conference, because I highly enjoy interaction with other students. Programming is a way for students to step outside of their comfort zone and discover things about themselves and others they never knew. I am very excited to plan the programs for the upcoming conference and hopefully make an impact on a number of Residents Assistants across the region.

Dining and Ceremonies Chair: Jamie Exline

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie Exline. I am a Senior Social Work and Sociology major and Spanish minor here at Missouri Western State University. I have been an RA for two whole years now and I love it! I love playing summer softball, flying kites, and cooking. My favorite food is strawberries and I hate fish, I also love going to Sonic and getting slushies with all the flavors in it. In my spare time (whenever I have some!) I love to play board games like Apples to Apples and Candy Land with friends. I cannot wait to meet all you guys and I am very excited to be hosting the best Heartland Conference ever!!

Campus Logistics, Security, and Transportation Chair: Shaheed Hayes

My name is Shaheed Hayes. I attended high school at Paseo Academy of the Fine and Performing Arts, and graduated during the year of 2006 in Kansas City, MO majoring in instrumental music. I am currently a junior at Missouri Western State University, and this will be my 2nd year being an RA in Vaselakos Hall for the Fine Arts Wing (although I am a Criminal Justice Major). I find it an honor to be an RA for the wing because my major takes me away from another thing I love doing, which is playing music. I played flute for 8 years, as well as alto and tenor saxophone for 3 years. It feels great to be able to connect with a whole entire wing that shares the same appreciation for art as I do.
