It is the policy of Missouri Western State University to provide low-cost health services to all registered students. At this time MWSU students do not pay a health fee at registration. Therefore, it is necessary to charge a nominal fee for services, laboratory, and medications.
Students will not be denied health services because of their inability to pay at the time services are provided. All charges may be added to the student's account with the MWSU Business Office.
We are not equipped or staffed to file Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance claims. It is recommended that you check with your insurance company to see how your policy works while you are attending MWSU. We will provide documentation of all charges so that you may submit them to your insurance company if desired.
We will file claims for those students, domestic or international, participating in the Student Insurance Plan; a blanket accident and sickness insurance policy available to all students attending MWSU. If you are an international student
interested in acquiring coverage, visit www.lewermark.com. If your are a domestic student interested in acquiring coverage visit www.uhcsr.com for information regarding this insurance plan, premiums, FAQ's, and PPO provider information. You may also apply and purchase online.
