After completing his secondary schooling at Maryatville Special Music High School in Adelaide, he moved to Canberra in 1997 to study with the renowned performer and pedagogue Timothy Kain at Canberra School of Music (Australian National University), where he has recently completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree majoring in guitar performance.

In 1999, Mr. Tsiboulski undertook a year of study at Indiana University School of Music, in Bloomington, IN, USA. There, he worked under the guidance of Maestro Ernesto Bitetti, and where he also assisted in the capacity of Associate Instructor in Guitar.

In the same year, he gave a solo recital at the Darwin International Guitar Festival, a unique event which in previous years gave him the opportunity to take part in masterclasses, and have lessons with some of the greatest luminaries in the world of the Guitar, among them: John Williams, Leo Brouwer, David Russell , David Tannenbaum, Carlo Barone. Val & Lucia with Guest Musicians and Dancers - (US / Mexico).

Lucia Rodriguez-Sanchez and Valdemar Phoenix have been performing together with
their group Gitanerías Flamenco since 1983. Their work, firmly based in the essence of traditional flamenco, also reflects a contemporary approach to the art.

Lucia y Valdemar have performed at major international festivals, at college campuses,
schools, and arts events throughout Texas, where they are based. Their work has also taken them to Alabama, Louisiana, New York, the New England States, Canada, and Washington. They have toured through the Texas Commission on the Arts since 1983 and performed under the sponsorship of Young Audiences.

They are also on the touring roster of the Mid America Arts Alliance. They were the subject of a Houston PBS documentary, and they are the producers of Gráfico, a made-for-TV video production, which was broadcast through Time-Warner. Their first CD, Nuestra Sangre Flamenca was released in 1998, and their second CD, Ritmo Azul, was released in July 2005.

They will be performing both flamenco puro (traditional flamenco music and dance) and the extremely rare music of Celt-Iberi.

- Celt-Iberian Music
Lucia and Valdemar are continuing a tradition of flamencos interpreting the music and dance of Celtic Spain. Using flamenco instrumentation, they are recreating the sounds of the gaita (bagpipe), flutes, voice, and percussion, and like the great Spanish Dance companies (Jose Greco Sr, the National Ballet of Spain, etc), they are recreating the folkloric dances alongside the flamenco dance.

- Flamenco Puro
The traditional music and dance forms of flamenco performed in a contemporary style by the Gitanerias ensemble of Lucia and Valdemar.

SATURDAY, May 20, 7:30 PM at the Missouri Western Thompson Potter Fine Arts Theater.

Ketchum and Holenko have been playing music together for more than 20 years and have been featured on TV and radio throughout the US.

Featuring guitars, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, whistle, bohdran, and vocals, the Hungry Monks perform Traditional, Contemporary, and Original acoustic songs and instrumentals in the Celtic tradition, while drawing on a wide range of influences including Medieval & Renaissance, Folk, Blues, Classical and Jazz.

Combining strong original songs and instrumental compositions with an ear toward improvisation, The Hungry Monks weave a rich tapestry of sound, melodic and rhythmic, grounded in the folk traditions of many cultures. Combined with the traditions and technique of Western Classical Music, this eclectic mix produces an interesting ensemble sound featuring acoustic sounds and beautiful vocals.

The Hungry Monks have released several CD recordings on their own label, Hungry Monk Recordings. As well as being active performers, The Hungry Monks are music educators and publish their own work through Hungry Monk Publications.
