Allied Arts Council Trails West! Scholarship Deadline: March 1st Missouri Western Foundation The Allied Arts Council Trails West! Scholarship is for an art student at Missouri Western. Application Procedures: Complete the General Scholarship Application requirements and submit a portfolio of current work along with a one page written statement to the Art Department. Contact Information: Art Department, 816/271-4282 Amy Singleton Memorial Art Scholarship Deadline: March 1st Missouri Western Foundation Established in memory of Amy Singleton. Recipient must be a full-time student (enrolled in 12 hours or more), a declared art major with 30 credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.5. Selection of the recipients will be by a committee from the art department. Contact Information: Art Department, 816/271-4282 Bob and Fern Dawson Memorial Scholarship Deadline: March 1st The Bob and Fern Dawson Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time junior or senior student majoring in Education. Art Education majors are also eligible. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required and financial need will be a consideration. Preference will be given to first generation college students. Two letters of reference are required. Application Procedures: Complete the General Scholarship Application requirements and submit two letters of reference online. Contact Information: Education Department Louise Bradley Art Scholarship Deadline: March 1st Missouri Western Foundation The family of Mrs. Louise Bradley established this scholarship. Recipient must have a high work ethic, demonstrated talent in studio or aptitude in art history, and have shown scholarship achievement. Selection of the recipient(s) will be by a committee from the art department. Contact Information: Art Department, 816/271-4282 Western Excellence Awards - Art Deadline: March 1st Missouri Western Department Aid Program These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students who qualify according to Art Department guidelines. Freshman applicants must have a minimum ACT of 22 and be in the top 25% of his/her high school class. Continuing students must have achieved sophomore standing and be a declared art major with a minimum departmental GPA of 3.50 and a cumulative GPA of 3.00. Academic criteria may be waived if the applicant displays outstanding artistic ability as determined by the Art Department.
