All Western graduates
participate in a statewide assessment effort called ETS
Proficiency Profile (ETS PP), formerly known as the ETS MAPP (Measure of Academic Proficiency and Progress).
This university-wide exit exam must be completed prior
to graduation. If you have earned 90 credit hours,
you are eligible to pre-register online to take the ETS PP.
The ETS PP test measures general education skills such
as critical thinking, reading, writing and mathematics.
Your scores will be compared to scores of other
graduates across the nation. The success of Western
students on the ETS PP influences the perceptions others
have regarding the quality of Western programs and the
value of your degree.
There is no cost to you for the ETS PP exam if taken
during a regularly scheduled time. The exam takes
approximately one hour to complete. Your confidential
scores will be reported to you shortly after the exam is
completed. To avoid an $85 individual testing charge,
please select a regularly scheduled testing date/time.
Online pre-registration is required for admission to the testing location. Exam sessions are limited to the number of computers stations available. You must bring your MWSU ID to be admitted to the exam session. NO walk-in registration is permitted.
If
you are unable to attend your designated testing
session, please notify Carolyn Schindler at
271-4364 or
cschindler@missouriwestern.edu.
ETS (MAPP) Registration is currently closed.
