Mission
The Department of Engineering Technology at Missouri Western State University serves the public through the delivery, promotion and advancement of engineering technology education in the areas of construction, electronics, manufacturing, and computer technology.

Vision
The Department of Engineering Technology at Missouri Western State University will provide regional and national leadership in assuring quality and in stimulating innovation in engineering technology education, and will serve as the hub of engineering technology education in the State of Missouri.

Goals

• Continue to utilize Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan to strengthen the academic quality of all the programs.
• Continue to maintain TAC/ABET accreditation of BS degree programs in construction and electronics engineering technologies, and strive to get other departmental programs accredited by TAC of ABET.
• Develop and maintain State-of-the-Art Teaching and Learning environment in the department.
