About Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology
The Department of Engineering Technology offers a BS degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology. The degree program focuses on studies which integrate computer software and computer hardware subject matter.

The program will prepare the student to have a practical understanding of computer components as well as an understanding of their functioning sequences. A basic level of computer programming is a part of the student's experience. The degree will also provide the student with an understanding of microcomputer hardware design, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintenance as well as a moderate level of computer software programming experience. The student will also be trained in Programmable Logic Controller Functioning as well as utilization of hardware and software knowledge to enter into the field of Human/Machine Interface work. The program enables the student to obtain work in the computer programmable controls area of the industrial sector of the economy.
