Mike Ritter is the service coordinator for the office of disability services. Mr. Ritter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Missouri Western State College. After graduating in 2002, he worked for The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City as a vocational evaluator. Prior to coming to work at MWSU in 2004, Mr. Ritter worked for MERIL as an independent living specialist. He has worked in the field of human services, providing services to people with disabilities, for over a decade.

Mr. Ritter is a member of the following committes at MWSU: Access; Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.); Committee to Address Struggling Students (C.A.S.S.); and Partners in Prevention (P.I.P.). Mr. Ritter is also the staff advisor for the Alpha Delta Alpha Honor Society.

In his time away from work, Mr. Ritter is a member of the City of St. Joseph Disability Services Committee. He is also a member of the Tree House for Everyone committee. Mr. Ritter also has his own speaking, training and consulting business. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He resides in St. Joseph with his wife Michelle.

The Office of Disability Services is part of the Health and Wellness Unit, a division of Student Affairs.
