Adventure League at Bode Ice Arena

"Rained on but not Rained Out!!!"

Even though the event had to be moved indoors, not even Mother Nature could dampen the spirits of those who attended the Adventure League on Saturday afternoon. The Adventure League was created to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in adaptive sporting activities. Alpha Delta Alpha members Stephanie Barry, Eric Nold, and Michelle Ritter (along with Alpha Delta Alpha Advisor, Michael Ritter) had a blast volunteering during the day's events. Stephanie spent most of the day on the ice while Eric nearly wore himself out playing tennis with anyone and everyone who cared to pick up a racquet. Michelle spent most of the day huddled underneath one of the space heaters but she too ventured out in the ice in her wheelchair. Mike played a little tennis and a little basketball and served as the event photographer. All in all, it was a great way to spend a couple of hours on an otherwise dreary, rainy Saturday afternoon.
