Working at the MWSU Phonathon is a fun experience! All our Student Callers act as ambassadors for the University, so it is essential that we recruit people who are enthusiastic about Western and who will be dedicated to their work with the Annual Fund. Phonathon callers contact more than 10,000 alumni each year to ask for their support.

No prior telemarketing experience is necessary, but it is certainly helpful! Throughout the calling period, you’ll receive training and guidance to help you become an effective student caller. You’ll learn important communication and negotiation skills and understand what motivates people to support charitable causes, plus you’ll gain a better understanding of the University. And bonus! Callers are rewarded for their success!

Members of our calling team:

• Are paid employees
• Work on-campus
• Work flexible evening shifts (Sun-Thurs, 6 p.m.-9p.m.)
• Earn prizes for reaching performance goals
• Learn valuable job skills
• Build their resumes
• Network with MWSU alumni
