Go to the website www.aleks.com/plugin
Under INDEPENDENT USE, click on » FREE TRIAL.
Under EXPLORE STUDENT MODULE, Click on » Try ALEKS Now.
When asked for Independent User Type, choose I'm a student.
When asked to Choose your market, choose Higher Education│Math.
When asked to Select a Course, select Intermediate Algebra.
Complete the tutorial and assessment.
The assessment is practice for the MWSU placement test. Your score is displayed when you have finished the assessment. MWSU requires a minimum score of 160 on its version of the assessment.
You may want to do some practice problems after completing the assessment. The practice exam is a good indicator of success on the actual placement exam.
Come to the Developmental Mathematics Program (DMP) when you have finished practicing and wish to take the placement test. The DMP is located in Popplewell Hall 108, 109, and 114.
