Student Organizations

Student Org photoParticipating in clubs and organizations on campus is an integral part of the higher education experience. In fact, studies show that students involved in some form of extracurricular activities are more likely to succeed than other students. Through this involvement students have a chance to have a ton of fun, explore many opportunities, learn and practice valuable skills, have a lasting impact on the campus, and gain a greater sense of belonging in the community. Students joining organizations have the chance to be apart of something great. Student Organizations offer leadership opportunities and skills that will help many people go on and succeed in the world.

Missouri Western offers nearly one hundred different student clubs and organizations including: Student Government Association, Western Activities Council, fraternities and sororities, honors groups, special interests groups (such as the Anime Club), cultural/ethnic groups (such as the N.A.A.C.P.), and religious organizations (such as the Newman Club, or Baptist Student Union). The Center for Student Engagement maintains a master list of all student organizations and provides resources and assistance to new and existing groups. The CSE also serves as a liaison between organizations and the University community. Interested in starting a brand new student organization? Maybe you're interested in restarting an inactive organization. Whatever you're student organization needs are, please stop by the office to get all the information you need!

Please be sure to check out the Student Organization Database, which features the most up-to-date list of active, recognized student organizations at Western.
