The Center for Multicultural Education will be providing Safe Zone training on
October 25th, 2012 at 5:30-9:30 pm. The location is the Scanlon Residence Hall Conference Room. The SafeZone program aims to increase the awareness, knowledge, and skills for individuals while addressing the challenges that exist when one wants to help their LGBTQ peers, family members, friends and co-workers. We will discuss inclusive language, sexual identity, issues of coming out, transgender issues, and how to be an effective ally. Seating is limited to 30 spots. Please contact the CME at

On November 6th, 2012, the Center for Multicultural Education will provide
"Rides to the Polls" for students needing transportation anytime from 10 AM to 6 PM. Please contact the CME at 816.271.4150,
