Employers Recruiting On-Campus

In addition to Job & Internship Fairs, the Career Development Center coordinates On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) with employers to conduct interviews for part-time jobs and internship opportunities with Missouri Western State University students.

Employers:

Organizations can take advantage of this opportunity to promote their company with an insider's view of your company's history, products/services, corporate culture, history, and benefits. Recruiters are encouraged to make arrangements at least four weeks in advance. For your efforts, the Career Center will arrange a table, and chairs and signage, with high visibility.

Students:

On-Campus Recruiting is one of several methods used by employers to seek Missouri Western students for entry-level job and internship opportunities. Each year, employers recruit students and alumni through:

• On-Campus Interviews
• Job & Internship Fairs
• Company Information Sessions

The Career Center strongly encourages students to prepare for these events by attending one of several How To Work a Career Fair workshops throughout the year, or by making an appointment at the CDC. During these one-on-one meetings, a staff member can:

• Critique and offer suggestion on your resume and supporting documents
• Coach you on how to network with confidence and success
• Create a Mock Interview session to evaluate your interviewing skills
