This regional contest is sponsored by the Allied Arts Council of St. Joseph and poster submissions are open to the public.  Fran was awarded $500.00 and will have her promotional poster printed and distributed throughout the Midwest.

This semester Brad Beckwith, Shanming Li and James Lower will be presenting their digital media applied research projects. They will each present a 20-minute overview on their projects followed by questions from their committee. The review will take place Tuesday, April 30 starting at 9:00 a.m. in Potter Hall room 200. The Art Department in conjunction with the Library is presenting “Our Lives Through Books: An Exhibition of Photographs” by students in ART460.  The exhibit is on the main floor of the library and features students Aza Francis, Elizabeth Allen, Cherlynn C. Frizell, Kelli Stratton; and Deborah Weems.

More than 200 handmade ceramic bowls have been produced by MWSU art students and instructors for this event. For only $10, those attending the all-you-can-eat pasta dinner can choose a handmade bowl to take home.

The exhibit will run from April 17-25, 2013 in the Potter Gallery, located inside Potter Hall on the Missouri Western State University campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public, with gallery hours from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.

An opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th, from 4-7pm.
