Advising Syllabus

Overview
An interactive relationship between each student and his or her academic advisor is an important key to success. Developed as a personalized one-on-one effort, the intensive advising program ensures that all first-time and transitional students are assigned to highly trained advisors. Advising workshops are provided, which include initial training, ongoing refresher workshops and support-system resources for advisors. As a result, the advisement process not only benefits students but also the faculty and staff members who work with them.

Mission
The intensive advising program is committed to student development, student success and to providing the highest quality advising for all first-time and transitional students. A combination of advising professionals and highly trained faculty and staff advisors ensure that all students receive personal, accurate and appropriate academic advisement.
