Dual Admission

 

What is Dual Admission?

Dual Admission allows potential transfer students with at least 24 credit hours at their resident community college to declare their intent to enroll at Missouri Western State University upon completion of their associates degree. As part of your Dual Admission, your community college will provide a transcript to MWSU each semester to keep us informed of your academic progress to ensure a smooth transition to the University.

 

Why apply for Dual Admission?
Through the Dual Admission program, you can:

  • - Obtain academic advising each semester from both institutions

  • - Obtain an ID Card

  • - Access the MWSU Library

  • - Access the MWSU Fitness Center

  • - Attend cultural events and other University programs

 

Who is eligible for Dual Admission?
Any student who has completed at least 24 hours of college credit, and is planning to transfer to Missouri Western State University from one of our participating partner community colleges.

How do I apply for Dual Admission?
If you are applying for one of the following semesters, simply complete our online application for admission: Be sure to indicate that you are applying for Dual Admission when prompted:

Fall 2013 (August 26 - December 6) 

 

If you are applying for a future semester not included in the link above, you'll want to compete a dual admission paper application for admission and mail it to: Office of Admissions, 4525 Downs Drive, St. Joseph, MO 64507.
