will be held at 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.
in the Looney Complex Arena/Fieldhouse.

On May 11, 2013, in two separate ceremonies, degrees will be conferred on all students who have completed graduation requirements in the spring and summer of 2013 during Missouri Western State University’s commencement ceremonies.

Information will be emailed to graduates in April.

make your own changes online in your secure profile area.

Senior Fair
For all MWSU Graduating Seniors - A day planned with your future in mind!
The Senior Fair will be held April 10, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. in Fulkerson Center. Come and pick up your cap and gown at the Senior Fair. You may also find out information about graduate programs, career development, networking, announcements and rings, interviews, and improving your resume! Come see how we can help you with your special day and your future!
Caps & Gowns
You do NOT order your own cap and gowns for commencement. They are pre-ordered for
you and may be picked up at the Senior Fair on April 10, (see above) or at the Barnes & Noble bookstore located in Blum Student Union April 11 to May 10, during the bookstores regular hours. To be assured of a proper fit, it would be advisable to pick up your graduation garb as early as possible. The only additional embellishment allowed on the gown is the gold MWSU Honors stole. The cap and gown are yours to keep.
Regalia
Candidates for certificates and degrees must wear robes without added adornment such as markings on mortar boards, beads or flowers. If you wear additional adornment, it will be taken away before you enter the arena floor.
Honor Stoles
Degree candidates graduating with honors will wear honors stoles. These stoles will be distributed the hour prior to graduation in the small gym on the day of commencement. Honor graduates are identified in the commencement program. The students earning the honors stoles may keep them.
Masters Graduates
Caps, gowns and hoods for those receiving Masters degrees will be special ordered. You will be contacted regarding sizes and you will be notified through your Missouri Western email account when the orders have arrived.
Announcements
If you would like to order personalized announcements online, you can view the selection options and place your order on the following web site: www.herffjones.com/college. Graduation announcements may also be ordered at the Senior Fair or purchased at the Barnes & Noble bookstore located in Blum Student Union.
A Note from the Photography Company
GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. You and your family members can register in advance to have the proofs emailed to you at your personal email account. Click on the pre-registration tab and enter the school name (Missouri Western State University) then enter your email information.
Registering your graduate with GradImages provides the information they need to deliver your graduation proofs to you in a timely manner. Giving them an accurate mailing address and email address will allow them to get your proofs to you on the first try. You may also provide them with email addresses of up to six friends and family members to allow them to celebrate in the accomplishment.
Proofs will be sent to your home via email within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. Graduation Images can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or via email at www.gradimages.com. The Commencement Ceremonies will be held in the Looney Complex Arena/Fieldhouse
There is limited seating for handicapped and elderly family members. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early.

Reception
A reception honoring all graduates will be held immediately following each ceremony in the old gym of the Looney Complex. Parents, family, faculty, administrators, and Board members are invited.
Diplomas
Graduates will receive a diploma cover on the day of the ceremony with a congratulatory note from President Robert Vartabedian. The Registrar’s Office will mail your diploma approximately 4-6 weeks after your graduation term to the address listed on your graduation application. Please be sure your mailing address is updated.
Please note that official transcripts with graduation information and the MWSU diploma will not be released if any financial obligation exists with the University.
