The Western
Pay it Forward Award is a way to recognize
individuals who are doing nice things for others
or making a contribution to the university. The
goal is to build relationships with others and
recognize them at the same time! The
Western Pay it
Forward Award Nomination Form must be
submitted during the month the individual was
seen helping/assisting our campus community. A
few examples would be: picking up a piece of
trash, helping another colleague with a project
or task, going out of their way to help a
student, or anything above and beyond the call
of duty.
To recognize a staff member, go to the
Western Pay it
Forward Award Nomination Form. Then
submit the nominee’s name, nominator's name and a
brief description of why you are nominating the
person (3-5 sentences). Nominations may contain
only 200 characters/letters. Information from
nominations will be used in the recognition of
the nominee and may be edited. The nomination will then
be forwarded to the Special Events Committee
Chair who will bring the names to the Special
Events Committee once a month. The Special
Events Committee will be delivering each honoree
with a certificate and they will be recognized
on the Staff Association webpage, through Tower
Topics and through the Staff Association
listserv. Aramark has also graciously donated
five sodas a month and we will randomly draw
from all the award winners for that month and
five individuals will get the free sodas! A
staff member can only win the soda once during
the year; however, they will still be recognized
on the Staff Association webpage, through Tower
Topics and through the Staff Association
listserv during that month.
Again, the Western Pay it Forward
Award is to recognize individuals who are
doing nice things for others or making a
contribution to the university. We look forward
to recognizing many of our fellow colleagues.
