Learning Communities at Missouri Western are designed exclusively for First Year students to speed up the social and academic transition to University Life. Students enrolled in a Leaning Community are placed in a pair or trio of linked courses at Orientation (approx 25 students). In these linked classes, faculty teach a topic collaboratively, relating each of the classes together and applying classwork to real world topics and activities. All first year student to Missouri Western are eligible to enroll in a Learning Community.
