Make the most out of college life... Get Involved!

GET INVOLVED

Take advantage of all the activities designed to support you as a student. Join a study group, visit the academic advising and career counseling office as well as our academic support center.

Attend activities in your hall and on campus and get to know the residents in your hall. Believe it or not, the more you participate in your community, the more likely you are to make it to graduation and the more lasting memories and friend-ships you will have.

Get to know your Resident Assistant (RA). “Going to college” is a big adjustment for everyone. Your RA is an invaluable resource for helping you through that adjustment. Don’t let troubles with your roommate, a hall mate, your classes, work, etc. get you down without talking to your RA or any of the staff who live in your building. If they cannot help you, they will refer you to someone else on campus who can help.

Become a leader. There are a number of opportunities to contibute to campus life. Some include being involved in Residence Council (RC), becoming an RA, being involved as a "VIP" (admissions), or "CME" programs (Center for Multicultural Engagement), or working with Griffon Edge or Orientation. Regardless of what you choose, GET INVOLVED and contribute to campus life, make a difference, and learn leadership skills you can use in your career.
