Beshears Hall

Co-ed – Super Singles - Upper-Class Lifestyle: Beshears Hall is for students who have at least 60 credit hours or who are 21 years of age or older. Super Single rooms with single baths are available along with Super Single rooms sharing a bath. Room dimensions - 15x12' bedroom main bedroom area.

About Beshears Hall...

Beshears Hall is named in honor of Kelsy B. Beshears, a highly respected advocate for the civil rights movement in this community and in the state of Missouri. A graduate of Howard University, Mrs. Beshears was a schoolteacher and the first guidance counselor in the Washington, DC School District. In 1946, She moved to St. Joseph and served as president of the local and state chapters of the NAACP and as coordinator for the regional chapters. In 1968, she developed the Brookdale East Apartment Complex, which she continued to operate until her death.
