Academic Lifestyles:

Honors Floor Lifestyle

This lifestyle is designed to respond to the special interests of students who are interested in or qualify for, the University Honors Program. This lifestyle is located on the third floor of Vaselakos Hall and is open to freshmen through seniors.

  • Residents must be interested in, accepted into or qualify for the Honors Program.
  • Grade point average and participation requirements for the University Honors Program pertain to all residents of the Honors floor.
  • Residents are encouraged to attend programs sponsored by Honors Program staff.

Music Lifestyle

This lifestyle is for students seeking a major or minor in music and for students in the Marching Band. Floor programs and activities are geared toward resident academic and career interests, and include opportunities to interact with faculty outside the classroom. This lifestyle is located on first floor of Vaselakos Hall.

Global Wing

This wing is for students who share an interest in world relations and building bridges of understanding between cultures. It is the perfect connection for students who have lived abroad, or are interested in majors in foreign languages, business majors with an international studies minor, political science, social work, sociology, speech communication or those who just want to share their story with others.


Interest Lifestyles:

Quiet Lifestyle

Quiet lifestyle is offered to those students who enjoy more quiet time then what is offered on a non-quiet lifestyle floor. Not only do quiet hours start one hour earlier than non-quiet floors, but the noise level in general is expected to be lower and monitored more closely.   Quiet Lifestyle Floors are located throughout the residence hall system.

  • Quiet Hours: 9 P.M.-10 A.M. Sunday through Thursday and 10 pm Friday and Saturday. Resident Assistants on all quiet lifestyle floors will meet with floor residents to explain enforcement of the quiet lifestyle.

Upper-Class Student Lifestyle 

This lifestyle offers an opportunity to interact with peers and is for students who have at least 60 credit hours or who are 21 years of age or older This lifestyle is available in Beshears  Hall.

Transfer and Continuing Student Lifestyle

This lifestyle is for returning sophomore/junior/senior/ students and for students transferring to the College. It offers students who have attended a college or university the opportunity to live and interact with their peers.

Residents must have attended another college or university for at least one semester or have completed at least 27 credit hours prior to assignment.  Transfer and Continuing Student lifestyle is located in Juda and Logan Hall.

Fitness Floor

This floor is for students interested in health and physical fitness, and/or those majoring in health, physical education and recreation. It will also attract students who are involved in intercollegiate athletics. This floor is located in Leaverton Hall.

First Year Experience Year Hall

This lifestyle is for first-time – first-year students. Programming is geared towards the first year experience and making connections with the University.

The Living Learning Center houses our first year residents.
