ACADEMIC LIFESTYLES

Academic lifestyle floors are dedicated to specific majors and their purpose is to give you the ability to study and interact with others of the same academic interest. There is also the ability to develop a relationship with faculty members outside of the classroom.

Honors Floor Lifestyle

Honors floor is designed to respond to the special interests of students who have an interest or have been accepted into the College Honors Program.

  1. Grade point average and participation requirements for the College Honors Program pertain to all residents of the Honors floor.

  2. Residents are encouraged to attend programs sponsored by Honors Program staff.

Honors Floor is located in Vaselakos Hall

 

Global Wing

This wing is for students who share an interest in world relations and building bridges of understanding between cultures. It is the perfect connection for students who have lived abroad, or are interested in majors in foreign languages, business majors with an international studies minor, political science, social work, sociology, speech communication or those who just want to share their story with others.

Global Wing is located in Vaselakos Hall

Music Lifestyle

The School of Music lifestyle is for students majoring or minoring in Music or play in the marching or pep band. Floor programs and activities are geared toward resident academic and career interests, and include opportunities to interact with faculty outside the classroom. Overall, the Music lifestyle provides the opportunity for academic support, career exploration, and integrated social experiences. This lifestyle is located in Vaselakos Hall.

Components of the Music Lifestyle include:

  • Interaction with faculty outside of the classroom

  • Programming to enhance your discovery of the music field

  • Study sessions for music classes

  • Opportunities to interact with professionals and alumni currently in the field

  • Personal and floor volunteer opportunities

  • Opportunities to meet and learn from juniors and seniors who are currently in the School of Music
