This course is designed to give law enforcement officers a tool to engage in constructive dialogue about terrorism with the citizens of the community they serve.

• Discuss the goals and purposes of COP
• Apply COP to Homeland Security
• Define the Middle East
• Explain the geographical distribution of the Islamic World
• Understand the basic principles and divisions of Islam
• Differentiate between Islam and militant religious fanatics
• Explain the structure of Middle-Eastern terrorist groups
• List the structure and activities of major international groups
