The Role of Diversity/Cultural Awareness
in Community Policing
SYNOPSIS:
Community Policing forces police to change traditional attitudes
toward the public and develop trust, and establish partnerships
with communities. Police officers learn why it is important to
understand diverse cultures, how prejudice and stereotyping build
barriers, and how they can improve relations with diverse cultures
within the organization and outside.
OBJECTIVES:
