Department Application for Admission

You must also complete an Application for Graduate Admission for the institution. Please ensure that a copy of your GRE scores is sent to Missouri Western State University GRE Code 1434

Minimum Requirements for Admission:

_____    Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale

GRE test takers who took the General test before August 2011

_____    450 or higher on the quantitative section

_____    400 or higher on the verbal section

GRE test takers who took the General test after August 2011

_____    141 or higher on the quantitative section

_____    146 or higher on the verbal section

 

Submit an application to the department that includes the following materials:

  1. A letter of application that includes:
    1. Your name, address, phone number and e-mail address
    2. Whether you intend to be a full-time or part-time graduate student
    3. Justifications for any discrepancies between your abilities and any information on your transcript or GRE.
    4. Your undergraduate preparation for a Human Factors graduate degree. Please discuss your research or product design training, as well as any other skill sets (e.g., computer programming, graphic design, research methods & statistics) you have.
    5. A clear statement of interest discussing your career goals and your personal interest in Human Factors Psychology
    6. Information on financial assistance you are seeking. Note that you will still need to complete the appropriate paperwork to apply for financial assistance. Applications received after MARCH 15TH will be considered, however, decisions regarding scholarships are likely already made.
  2. The names of two individuals who will be sending letters of recommendation*
