Why should I get a bachelor’s degree in Psychology?

A degree in Psychology provides the graduate with a solid foundation for the skills that are necessary to pursue a successful career in the 21st century. Many of the skills that students develop as they study in the Psychology program are very marketable and are in high demand by employers, such as written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and information technology skills.

What is the job placement rate for graduates in Psychology?

Estimated placement rate for the past five years of personnel psychology alumni is 91%. The department has not surveyed the general Psychology majors, but it is probably a similar rate for employment. Several general Psychology majors pursue advanced degrees.
