STATEMENT OF PURPOSEI am conducting a research study about the importance of multicultural content in curriculum and instruction. I want to study whether individuals believe the use of multicultural content and strategies in curriculum and instruction is important to help prepare individuals to become more understanding of cultural differences, and better prepared for them to interact in a diversity and global society.
STATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGYThere is not physical harm to anyone involved with the case study. I will use interviews, surveys, and classroom observations of instruction to conduct my research. All participants will sign a consent agreement before participating and anyone who chooses to can withdraw from the case study. They will be asked questions pertaining to the use of multicultural content and instruction, I will conduct surveys about the topic, and observe classrooms using multicultural content and instruction.
ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITSThere are no more than minimal risks involved since this research topic is conducted my surveys, interviews, and classroom observations. Anyone can choose to leave the case study at any time. If they feel there is a risk involved I will assume responsibility.
SUBJECT SELECTIONI anticipate a case study of 150-200 people. It will be conducted at Maur Hill-Mount Academy and will be an unbiased selection. I am sending Dr. Cronk my granted permission from Maur HIll-Mount Academy to conduct this case study.
CONFIDENTIALITYI will keep all data collected in the forms of graphs, survey, journals, and written observations. I will keep all collected information locked in a file cabinet to safeguard confidentiality. I will use codes to help keep identifying information off of data that is not immediately transcribed.

Extension Request on 03-01-2013I would like to request an extension until May 15, 2013. I am finishing my capstone project this semester and will graduate in May.
Final Report on 08-22-2013I completed my project and found research to back and support my capstone project. I have already submitted my project and had it approved.
