STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe purpose of this study is to examine the influence of college students’ spiritual well-being, anxiety, depression, and coping strategies on their psychological well-being and suicidal ideationSTATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGYA descriptive, correlational research design was used. Data about college students’ anxiety, depression, coping strategies, spiritual well-being, psychological well-being, and the suicide ideation were collected using structured questionnaires. SPSS 16 version will be used to analyze the relationships of variables. The multiple regression will be used to analyze the predictors of psychological well-being and suicidal ideation of college students.ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITSThere is no risk for the participants. They will take about 20 minutes to fill out the questionnsire. After they turn in the questionnaire, they will get a pack of chocolate to express the thanks.SUBJECT SELECTIONThe college students will be recruited from School of Nursing (Dr. Pi-Ming Yeh NUR 435 course) and School of Business (Dr. Cheng-Huei Chiao class). There are about 200 participants in this study.CONFIDENTIALITYThere is no name on the questionnaires. The questionnaires will be kept in a locked drawer at Pi-Ming Yeh's office.
