The national Omicron-Psi Honor Society is an honor society established specifically for the non-traditional student. Established as a non-profit organization in 1993, they encourage participation in community and/or school-related activities. Omicron-Psi chapters are located throughout the United States. They recognize the achievements and sacrifices that are made by these students and encourage their continual academic pursuits through scholarships and awards.

Scholarships/Benefits
Thirty percent of membership dues go toward scholarships. Omicron-Psi Silvers may only apply one time for a scholarship. Omicron-Psi Golds, however, may apply as many years as they continue their academic pursuits. Beautiful certificates and insignia pins are awarded to members at their induction ceremony. Omicron-Psi Gold
Omicron-Psi Gold is the ultimate and highest honor given by our society. Designed for the four-year college/university, we acknowledge those special members who have maintained, into their junior year, the highest of ethical standards. We promote the continued educational enrollment into graduate programs with scholarships. The following requirements must be met for application of this honor:

• Must be at least 24 years of age
• Have attained junior status or higher
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Have been involved in at least three community and/or campus activities
• Demonstrate leadership, persistence, and future promise
• Maintain the highest ethical standards

Omicron-Psi Silver
Omicron-Psi Silver is designed for the two-year community college. It is designed to recognize those students who have achieved the Omicron-Psi honor and to encourage enrollment into a four year college or university through scholarships. Criteria is as follows:

• Must be at least 22 years of age
• Have attained sophomore status
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Have been involved in at least three community and/or campus activities
• Demonstrate leadership, persistence, and future promise
• Maintain the highest ethical standards

Membership Dues:
The dues for either the Omicron-Psi Gold Program or the Omicron-Psi Silver Program are $35.00. Each program has a one time fee only. There are no further dues past Omicron-Psi Gold, and members retain membership for life. Thirty percent of all dues will be used for scholarships within their respective programs.
