WESTERN GRADUATES PRESENT SURVIVING TEACHING WORKSHOP
St. Joseph, Mo. -Sept. 23, 2011- The Student Affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English (SNCTE) at Missouri Western State University will hold a workshop called ''Surviving the First Six Weeks of Teaching'' at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4 in Murphy Hall, room 106.
Recent Western graduates will deliver short presentations about what new teachers should expect and how they can make the successful transition from college student to classroom teacher. A question-and-answer session will follow. Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome.
Presenters include: Kelsey Corzine, St. Joseph Bode Middle School; Bradley Griffin, East Buchanan High; Elizabeth Sherwood-Watson, Cameron High School; and Jessica Wilkinson, St. Joseph Truman Middle School.
