Western hosts event for future translators
St. Joseph, Mo. - Feb. 15, 2011 - The foreign language unit at Missouri Western State University is sponsoring a presentation about working as an interpreter or translator on Friday, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. in Eder Hall room 210.
Professionals will discuss the educational and linguistic training required to work in the field. The presenters will discuss the difference between interpreting and translating; specialty areas, such as medical, legal, economic or literary; and job prospects with the government, private industry or independently.
