WESTERN AMBASSADORS ANNOUNCE SCHOLARSHIPS
St. Joseph, Mo. -Feb. 10, 2010-The Missouri Western State University Ambassadors have awarded $6,500 in scholarships to ten nontraditional students. The following students received scholarships for the spring 2010 semester:
-Rhonda Bragg, Oregon, Mo., junior nursing major
-Ranece Butt, St. Joseph, Mo., freshman social work major
-Kory Karr, Helena, Mo., freshman wildlife conservation and management major
-Mark Linebaugh, Stewartsville, Mo., senior business management major
-Matthew Moffitt, Savannah, Mo., junior construction engineering major
-Keysha Myers, St. Joseph, Mo., sophomore nursing major
-Amy Neill, Rea, Mo., junior nursing major
-Kelsey Talbott, St. Joseph, Mo., senior nursing major
-Craig Thomas, Fillmore, Mo., freshman business major
-Franky Tracy, St. Joseph, Mo., senior elementary education major
Ambassadors Scholarships are funded from proceeds of the annual Night at the Ritz, sponsored by the Ambassadors each spring and attended by individual and corporate sponsors. Scholarships are awarded to full-time or part-time students. Students must be 25 years or older, degree-seeking, have a GPA of at least 2.5 and demonstrate financial need.
