Engineering Procedures
- Engineering Services has as its priority the installation
and repair of IMC inventoried equipment that supports the
various services offered by the IMC ... this includes IMC
installed 'smart' classrooms regardless of their location.
- The first point of contact for trouble calls regarding
any IMC equipment in classrooms is Classroom Services,
at x4395. Classroom Services will respond, troubleshoot,
and 'fix' the problem if possible. If the problem needs
to be reported to Engineering for more serious work,
it will be evaluated and repaired as soon as the room
is available. If repair cannot be done immediately, Classroom
Services will attempt to provide portable equipment in
the interim.
- Engineering Services does not supply parts to other campus
departments in lieu of such departments stocking necessary
items on their own.
- If time allows, Engineering Services will consult with
other campus departments about approaches to repairs on
their equipment. However, Engineering Services will not
do nor negotiate the repair. It is recommended that
equipment be sent to an authorized repair shop for repair.
