Courses & Fees


Fees

Tuition for 16 college credit hours and a $950 fee that covers travel, camping, motel housing, all activity and entrance fees, equipment rental, and some meals.  This sum includes a $250 non-refundable deposit that reserves your enrollment (and preference of either North or South trek) as soon as it and the application form are received.  The rest of the fee is due no later than June 30, 2007.

Students must enroll in all of the following classes for the Fall 2007 Outdoor Semester:

Instruction in reading various literary genres and continued practice in writing. Fulfills second half of the General Studies requirement in English Composition.

General information about psychology in everyday life, designed to correct misconceptions and to give the student a abetter understanding of self and others.

A methodology course with an emphasis on establishing learning experiences in natural environments through varied disciplines of study. Two hours lecture, two hours lab.

A General Studies course emphasizing ways of reading and writing about poetry, fiction and drama. Various thematic approaches may be offered.

Analysis of Earth's physical systems; mapping and Earth-Sun relationships; weather and climate; soils and landforms; fluvial processes; and global vegetation. Interpretation of aerial photos; discussion of Global Positioning Systems (GPS).


*Course satisfies a General Studies requirement. PED and GEO count as electives toward your degree.  Audit and independent study options are available to those students who qualify.

**Prerequisites:  Completed application, consent of instructors, and “C” or better in ENG 104.
