It is the policy of Missouri Western State University to provide low-cost health services to all students. At this time MWSU students do not pay a health fee at registration. Therefore, it is necessary to charge a nominal fee for services.
Office visits are approximately $25.00 but may vary due to circumstances of the visit. Additional low-cost charges apply to medications and laboratory tests. Students will not be denied health services because of their inability to pay at the time services are provided. All charges may be added to the student's account with the MWSU Business Office.
If you have private insurance, it is recommended that you check with your insurance company to see how your policy works while you are attending MWSU. We will provide documentation of all charges so that you may submit them to your insurance company if so desired.
We will file claims for those students participating in the Student Insurance; a blanket accident and sickness insurance policy available to all students attending MWSU. If you are
interested in acquiring coverage, visit
www.missouriwestern.edu/studentdev/insurance.pdf for information regarding this insurance plan. This same information is available outside The Dean of Student Development's office in Blum Union 228, or in the Esry Student Health Center in Blum Union 203. |
