Survey & Compensation Committee
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Salary Survey & Compensation Committee is to identify
and propose a compensation and salary review process that is equitable, fair
and applied consistently. The process should reward performance while concurrently
recognizing marketplace equity and fiscal operating constraints.
VISION STATEMENT
In February 2008, Missouri Western State University contracted with Evergreen
Solutions, LLC to conduct a Market Salary Survey and Compensation Plan. As part
of the study, Evergreen Solutions, LLC was tasked with:
- Analyzing the current
practices within the University, including the compensation policies
and guidelines;
- Designing a fair, equitable and easy to administer
compensation system for MWSU;
- Collecting market data for benchmark
titles from peer organizations;
- Reviewing and providing recommendations
for the existing compensation plan;
- Providing specific implementation
recommendations; and
- Providing recommendations for maintenance
of the system over time.
The
purpose of this quantitative assessment is to provide a broad review
of the current compensation structure in place within MWSU and a brief
analysis of employee demographics within the organization.
By reviewing information about the current compensation structure,
philosophies and employee demographics, Evergreen Solutions can ensure
we have a full understanding of the structures and methods in place
at MWSU and help identify issues for further review and potential for
revision.
