Employment/Application Process
Applications are NOT reviewed or sent to the hiring department until AFTER the deadline specified in the job posting has been met.
There are no set timetables or timeframes for reviewing applications, interviewing, and/or filling positions. Timeframes vary greatly from position to position based upon the response to advertisements.
Applications are reviewed by Human Resources; however, interviews are conducted by
a search committee. Therefore, in the event you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the
search committee directly. Since interviews are not conducted by Human Resources, it is unlikely that we will know when or if you may be contacted for an interview or when interviews will begin or end. Due to a high volume of calls, it is not recommended that you contact the
department directly.
Since the University receives a large number of qualified applications,
the search committee is simply unable to interview every qualified applicant. Search committees are instructed to rate the candidates based on
their qualifications for the position.
