Philosophy Assistant/Associate Professor- (full-time, tenure track, 8 courses per year, 4/semester, beginning August 2010). AOS: history and philosophy of science or philosophy of biology; AOC: open, but must have competence to teach 2 general education applied ethics/contemporary moral problems courses every semester, courses in logic as needed, and the ability to contribute to the development of upper-level courses in areas not presently covered by existing faculty, such as epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, philosophical anthropology, and metaphysics. Required: PhD in Philosophy. Physics Assistant Professor - full time, tenure track (beginning August 2010) to teach introductory physics courses and general studies math and astronomy courses; recruit and advise students; engage in research and in university and community service. REQUIRED: Ph.D. in physics, excellent teaching and communication skills, and commitment to continued professional development. PREFERRED: At least two years experience teaching introductory physics, math, and /or astronomy courses. Missouri Western is an open enrollment state university serving approximately 6000 students.
