Health, Physical Education & Recreation Scholarship

Deadline:  March 1st        

Western Department Aid Program

Three $1,000 ($500 per semester) scholarships will be awarded to HPER majors who meet the following criteria:  Must be a declared major within the HPER Department, must have completed 45 credit hours, must be an active member of a HPER professional organization, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and a HPER major GPA of 3.0 or above, and an ACT Composite Score of 20 or SAT Score of 1410.

Western Excellence Awards – Health, Physical Education, and Recreation
Deadline: March 1st
Western Department Aid Program

Incoming Freshman Award: One $1,000 ($500 per semester) Western Excellence Award will be available to an incoming Freshman with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA, top 20% of the graduating class, and a minimum ACT Composite Score of 20 or SAT Score of 1410. Incoming Freshman awarded this scholarship will be required to enroll in PED 191 or RSM 220 and declare a major in HPER Department during the first semester. Successful completion of the first semester with a minimum 3.0 GPA will be required to maintain this scholarship during the second semester.

Continuing Student Awards: Two $1,000 ($500 per semester) scholarships will be awarded to HPER majors who meet the following criteria: Must be a declared major within the HPER Department, must have completed 45 credit hours, must be an active member of a HPER professional organization, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and a HPER major GPA of 3.0 or above, and an ACT Composite Score of 20 or SAT Score of 1410.
