Course Objective:

Prepare students for their upcoming study abroad experience by introducing them to contemporary Spanish culture.  This will be a very practical and general course on the society and recent history of Spain.  Students will participate in group discussions and oral presentations.

Course Rules and Guidelines:

  1. No food or drink allowed in class.
  2. Unexcused absences and arriving late to class will negatively affect your participation grade.
  3. There will be no make-up work and assignments will not be accepted late.
  4. Students requiring special accommodations due to a disability should meet with me as soon as possible.

Determination of Final Grade:

                        Participation                 40%

                        Group Presentation       30%

                        Final Exam                   30%
