Welcome to the Web site for English 341 Shakespeare, a course being taught this semester by Ed Ma1one in the Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Journalism (EFLJ), in the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS), at Missouri Western State College. The course is crosslisted as Theatre 341. Offered every fall semester, ENG/THR 341 is a required course in the Bachelor of Arts in English - Literature and the Bachelor of Science in Education - English and counts as an LAS computer literacy course in both degrees. It also fulfills the Area Six Aesthetic Appreciation requirement for the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies.

This Web site was designed primarily for students taking this class, but visitors are welcome to explore the archive and even contribute annotations to the current Sonnet Site. The navigation panel to your left provides links to different sections of the course syllabus: a statement of policies, a description of assignments, a course calendar, a list of Web resources or "links" related to Shakespeare studies, and the current roster of students. The archive contains student projects and postings from previous semesters: electronic editions of pre-1926 critical articles, original critical essays, reviews of stage productions, Web-site reviews, virtual marginalia of sonnets, and bibliographies.
