Attendance: Necessary! We will do mostly group work and peer revision, which you cannot make up. If you miss class more than 3 times, your grade will be lowered one full grade for each absence.

Tardiness: If you arrive after class has begun, you run the risk of being counted absent because I will not stop class to correct my bookkeeping. If you make lateness even a small habit, that habit will count against your 3 absences.

Late Papers: All assignments are due at the beginning of class. No late papers are accepted.

Grading Policy:

Final drafts - 60%

Other assignments, attendance, participation, preparedness - 40%

Complete departmental course objectives can be found on the English Department's web page: http://www.missouriwestern.edu/eflj/eng108.asp#Course

Academic Honesty: You are expected to do your own work in this class. If you hand in someone else's work and claim it is your own, you will receive a zero for that assignment.

Student Disability: If you have a disability which prevents the fullest expression of your abilities, contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss class requirements.
